Cook Helper All Hurley crew members, including this position, work a 15-day on/6-day off schedule throughout the dredging season, which runs from May through November. Workdays start and end on Wednesdays. Employees live and eat on board the Dredge Hurley for the duration of the 15 workdays. This job rotates between day and night shifts and is a 12-hour shift. The crew works just day shifts during the non-dredging season, and the vessel is based at Ensley Engineer Yard in Memphis, TN, with a 5-day/8-hour or 4-day/10-hour schedule. The Dredge Hurley will operate in several Mississippi River locations throughout the dredging season, spending up to 90 days in the area around Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Click here
