Responsibilities:

oversees the handling of hazardous cargo and other site shipping tasks.

complies with DOT and IATA rules to guarantee the safe transportation of hazardous materials. ensures that packaging materials are used in accordance with UN packaging specifications on the site. classifies the material, chooses the packaging, parcels, labels, and shipping documentation for the hazardous materials.

prepares the Bill of Lading or Shippers Declaration of Dangerous Goods and certifies shipments.

keeps documentation for FAA and DOT inspections.

keeps instruction up to date with the most recent IATA and DOT rules.

oversees substitute shippers in the laboratory for DOT and IATA rules.

carries out inventory management and buys supplies for the job site, shipping materials and labels, safety gear, laboratory equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.

Pay for purchase orders by processing them.

Qualification:

HS Diploma or Equivalent
