Responsibilities:
Underwrite Casualty and Personal Indemnity Lines of business, more particularly Liability, WC, MMI and PI business.
Prepare quotes within TAT agreed.
Wherever required, to liaise with BDEs and Branches in their discussion / negotiation with the Clients.
Develop and strengthen relationship with Brokers along with Brokers Management team.
Resolve any queries in a timely fashion.
Support Operations team, wherever required, to ensure documentations are released within the TATs agreed.
Review and approve quotes within his authority level and/or together with STM /CUO.
Ensure that renewal terms are released to the client / BDEs / Broker Management team 30 days in advance, as a minimum.
Take full control on Renewal Management process.
Review and Approve/Signing of policies including branches (level 1-whenever required)
Start developing relationship with Reinsurance Brokers and Reinsurers
To ensure that facultative supports are purchased effectively, and reinsurers are bound before NGI going on cover.
To ensure that NGI has always back-to-back RI cover, whenever fac is purchased.
Cover the colleagues of department whilst they are on annual vacation.
Review of Policies issued by various branches whenever required.
Clearly understand the treaty coverage in respect of Casualty and PI lines and to ensure no deviations, unless agreed by authorized personnel for such deviations.
Should ensure that treaty capacities are effectively utilized.
Support in development of various portals, wherever required.
Regularly monitor QMS and to ensure that there is no undue delay in issuing quotes / response. To generate monthly report and share with STM and CUO on QMS status.
Proper and effective file/document management to facilitate smooth retrieval of documents.
Any additional tasks assigned by manager, as per changing business needs.
The proper customer service up to the satisfactory levels of brokers/clients/BDE’s, which may lead to the overall growth of business for the Company.
All the task/duties served are within the company guidelines and with the supervision and guidance from Senior Technical Manager/Chief Underwriting Officer.

Education: Graduate – Bachelor’s Degree / MBA, preferably with Insurance Qualification from a recognized insurance institute.
Minimum of 7 years underwriting experience in Casualty business including Liability and PI (Professional Indemnity).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Good UAE market knowledge of Casualty Line of Business and excellent working relationship with key brokers.
Good Knowledge and relationship with reinsurance market.
