The Frick Collection Part-time Graphic Designer job: We are seeking a talented and creative part-time Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team. The Graphic Designer joins us at an exciting time for the museum as we prepare to move back and reopen our historic residence at 1 E. 70th Street. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality graphic design work for a variety of print and digital materials, including exhibition-related materials, invitations, advertisements, signage, and other promotional materials. This role works on projects in all stages of the design process to produce materials that support the museum in achieving its strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop concepts and designs for a range of print and digital materials, including exhibition-related materials, invitations, advertisements, signage, and other promotional materials.
Work with the Services team to ensure all designs are consistent with The Frick Collection’s visual identity and branding guidelines and appear correctly across all channels.
Collaborate with Creative Services team to ensure projects are well-executed according to the design vision by preparing files, defining specifications, managing timeline and production of assigned projects with various vendors.
Assist in-house Production team with mock-ups and other print materials.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and take responsibility to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Maintain and organize project files and materials libraries.

Qualifications:
BFA or MFA in graphic design or related field- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic design or related field- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite- Dynamic use of typography, grids, layout, color, shape, and imagery in both 2D and 3D- Strong understanding of brand systems and experience working with brand guidelines- Familiarity with production methods such as printing, vinyl graphic applications, and silk-screening- Knowledge of papers – Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, take direction, receive feedback, and execute accordingly- Up to date on current trends in design, art, culture, and technology- Excellent organizational skills with particular attention to file management- Experience in a museum or cultural institution is a plus.
