Responsibilities:

Finish all assigned shipping and/or receiving documentation.

Accurately choose and palletize orders for dairy, fruit, meat, frozen goods, and groceries before sending them to retail locations.

Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.

Pallet jacks and forklifts should have pre-operational checks performed in accordance with business policy.

Maintain a clean and debris-free work area while adhering to appropriate sanitation procedures.

Provide suggestions for changes to work group or distribution center-related procedures or processes that will increase productivity, cut costs, and maximize efficiency.

Qualification:

When appropriate, certified for powered industrial equipment

able to conduct research and enter data using a personal computer

Strong attention to detail, highly motivated self-starter, and team player with the capacity to prioritize several tasks in a hectic work environment

Education in High School

knowledge of or expertise in a distribution setting
